Built for the job.
2-in-1 seam sealer is a beadable and sprayable, high performance, one component MSP seam sealer for interior or exterior seams and OEM sprayed sound dampening pads.
SEM® 29472 is a 2-in-1 seam sealer supplied in a 9.5 oz gray tube, designed for rapid sealing of panel joints and seams before final finishing. It provides a flexible, paint-ready film that bonds to a wide range of substrates commonly encountered in body shop repairs.
Key performance features include a work time of 20-40 minutes at 70 °F (21 °C), allowing ample flash time for application and tooling. The sealant cures to a 4 mm thickness within 24 hours under the same conditions, delivering a durable bond that can be sanded or primed without additional waiting. Compatible substrates cover aluminum, steel, fiberglass, wood, plastic, concrete, OEM panels, primer coats, and SMC, ensuring versatility across repair projects.
Safety handling requires full PPE: eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator in confined spaces. The material has a flash point of 98 °C and is classified with acute toxicity, skin corrosion, eye damage, respiratory irritation, carcinogenicity, aquatic toxicity, organ toxicity, reproductive toxicity, and specific H-statements (H315, H319, H335, H351). Adequate ventilation and immediate first-aid measures-fresh air for inhalation exposure, thorough water rinse for skin contact, and prolonged eye irrigation-are mandatory.
