THE FINISHER Koch-Chemie VinylTexClean Vinyl/Textile Cleaner for Cockpit, Bench & Cabin

What makes VinylTexClean ideal on board? The vinyl/textile cleaner pulls salt film, sunscreen and everyday residue off in a controlled way, dries streak-free and keeps the grippy feel of marine vinyl and hard-wearing fabrics. Perfect as the prep step before VinylGuard or TexLock/CoverGuard.

THE FINISHER VinylTexClean vinyl/textile cleaner is the on-target cleaner for marine vinyl upholstery, console trim and hard-used fabric areas in cockpit and cabin. The pH-balanced, fine-foaming formula lifts sunscreen, salt and drink residue safely, without drying out the surface or leaving it smeary. The result: clean, grippy material with a factory-fresh look perfectly set up for the care and protection that follow.

  • Vinyl & fabric handled: Cuts through sunscreen and salt film plus everyday stains, dries down calmly and keeps the natural grip of seats and trim.
  • Streak-free & controlled: Fine foam for precise work without over-wetting; ideal on upholstery, trim and carpet zones in cabin and cockpit.
  • Strong in the system: The perfect base for VinylGuard (vinyl care) and TexLock/CoverGuard (fabric protection) and it makes future cleans noticeably easier.

Vinyl/textile cleaner lift salt, lotion & everyday grime safely

A vinyl/textile cleaner like THE FINISHER VinylTexClean works with mild surfactants and controlled foam: residue gets bound into micelles while the surface stays cool and grippy. On marine vinyl you lift sunscreen film, sweat and salt haze without a greasy shine; on tough fabrics you pull stains without over-soaking the fibres. The product flashes off residue-free so the care and protection products that follow can grab evenly for a calm, clean cockpit look.

Using it on board dose, dwell, wipe clean

How to use it: Work in the shade with the surfaces cool. Put the product on a microfibre cloth, or for heavier soiling spray it sparingly onto the area, let it dwell briefly and work it with a soft brush or cloth. Wipe off straight away with a clean side of the cloth, go over it with a slightly damp fibre if needed and pull it dry. Avoid over-wetting so you don’t get streaks. Plastic windows (polycarbonate/acrylic) belong to SeaYou don’t clean those with this.

Finish & system prepping for care and protection

Finish & system: After cleaning, the surface stays grippy-clean, not greasy. Then condition the vinyl areas in the cockpit with VinylGuard for a rich, non-smeary look. Lock down heavily used fabric zones (seat surfaces, carpet runners, berth entry and exit) with TexLock or CoverGuard once fully dry. That cuts down re-soiling, and future washes go noticeably faster.

Common questions about THE FINISHER Koch-Chemie VinylTexClean Vinyl/Textile Cleaner

Which surfaces do I use VinylTexClean on?

On marine vinyl upholstery, console and cabin trim, and hard-wearing fabrics. Keep it off leather, delicate Alcantara areas and plastic windows.

How do I avoid water or dirt rings?

Dose sparingly, let it dwell briefly, wipe off with a fresh side of the cloth and go over it dry. Don’t work in the sun and don’t let it dry on.

Does the cleaner change the feel?

No, it leaves a grippy-clean surface with no smeary film. For a visual refresh and protection afterwards, use VinylGuard or TexLock/CoverGuard.

Does it help against salt haze?

Yes. Salt and spray film are lifted safely and wiped off streak-free provided you use clean cloths and work in the shade.

Can I use it off the boat too?

Yes, on comparable vinyl/textile surfaces with marine-grade toughness. For automotive interiors, reach for InsideUp or LeatherTexClean depending on the material.
