These mild steel “Low Hydrogen” electrodes are suitable for all welding positions on hardenable steels without the need for pre-heating, and they excel on cold rolled steels that typically suffer from excessive porosity when welded with conventional rods. They help reduce cracking and peeling of the weld material while offering excellent restart capability. These electrodes are ideal for welding low, medium, and high carbon steels, as well as some higher strength low alloy steels, making them perfect for applications such as frames, trailer hitches, and chassis. The product features a tensile strength of 70,000 psi and is recommended for use with DCEP Reverse or AC polarity for optimal performance.
