The fine-grit Blue Zirconia discs are the final mechanical sanding step in the platinum finishing workflow, producing a silky surface that is ready for pre-polishing. They are designed to eliminate the last traces of visible scratch patterns, ensuring that the final high-polish step will be deep and flawless.
Despite being a “fine” grit, the zirconia grains still offer the superior cutting power needed for platinum, which can often be difficult to burnish with traditional paper discs. Using these as part of a dedicated platinum kit prevents cross-contamination with other metals and ensures a superior result every time.
