Polyurethane Body Mount Set for 2009-2018 Ram 1500 Extended and Crew Cab
The ENG5.4117G Energy Suspension Hyper-Flex polyurethane body mount set replaces the factory rubber body mounts on 2009 through 2018 Ram 1500 Extended Cab and Crew Cab trucks. Factory rubber body mounts compress, crack, and distort over time, leading to cab movement and vibration transfer. Energy Suspension’s Hyper-Flex polyurethane compound eliminates unwanted cab movement while remaining compliant for daily street use. Each bushing includes a zinc-plated steel ring molded in for added structural strength.
Key Features
- Hyper-Flex polyurethane construction significantly more durable than factory rubber
- Reduces cab movement and vibration transfer caused by worn OEM rubber mounts
- Zinc-plated steel ring molded into each mount for added strength and longevity
- Restores cab-to-frame alignment degraded by worn rubber mounts
- Maintains street-drivable compliance unlike aluminum body mounts
- Black finish (ENG5.4117G)

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the ENG5.4117G?
The ENG5.4117G is an Energy Suspension Hyper-Flex polyurethane body mount set for 2009 through 2018 Ram 1500 Extended Cab and Crew Cab trucks, replacing the factory rubber body mounts that wear out and cause cab movement and vibration.
What signs indicate my Ram 1500 body mounts need replacing?
Common symptoms include increased cab vibration at highway speeds, a clunking sensation when driving over bumps, visible sagging or misalignment between the cab and bed, or physical deterioration of the existing rubber mounts.
Are polyurethane body mounts harsher than rubber?
Polyurethane is firmer than factory rubber and may transmit slightly more road vibration. Energy Suspension’s Hyper-Flex compound minimizes this difference compared to aluminum body mounts, which are too stiff for daily street use.
Will these fit both 2009-2010 and 2011-2018 Ram 1500 trucks?
The ENG5.4117G covers 2009 through 2018 Ram 1500 Extended Cab and Crew Cab. Confirm the mount count matches your specific truck before installing.
Do I need to remove the cab to replace body mounts?
Full body lift is typically required for a complete body mount replacement to properly access and remove all existing mounts.
Will this ENG5.4117G work on a 2019 or newer Ram 1500?
No. The ENG5.4117G is for 2009 through 2018 Ram 1500 only. The 2019 and newer Ram 1500 uses a different body mount configuration requiring a separate Energy Suspension part number.
What is the zinc-plated steel ring for?
The steel ring is molded into the polyurethane bushing and acts as a structural reinforcement, distributing clamping load and preventing the polyurethane from deforming under torque during installation and use.
Can I grease these mounts during installation?
Energy Suspension polyurethane components are typically compatible with their Energy Lube or equivalent suspension grease where allowed by the application design. Refer to the included installation sheet for specific guidance.
Installation Overview
- Raise the truck and safely support the frame on rated jack stands, not the body
- Place body support stands under the cab to hold it during mount removal
- Remove body mount bolt from the top or underneath as applicable for each mount location
- Extract the old rubber mount from the frame bracket
- Clean the frame bracket mount surface and inspect for corrosion
- Insert the ENG5.4117G polyurethane mount into the frame bracket
- Lower the cab onto the new mount and install the retaining bolt
- Torque all body mount bolts to Ram’s factory specification
- Repeat at all mount locations and verify even body panel gaps before lowering
