Detailing1-Workshop practical tip: We use Leather Fresh in our workshop as standard care for every detailing even if the leather still looks okay visually. 100ml is enough for a complete pair of seats including the steering wheel. Evenly wet a microfibre pad, work in circular motions, polish with a second pad. Looks like new after 5 minutes.

Before application, the leather is cleaned with leather cleaner and wiped damp. After a short drying time, a microfibre pad is moistened with about 35 ml of Leather Fresh (Alfa Romeo) and worked evenly into the leather surface in circular motions. Immediately polish with a second dry microfibre pad until the typical matt-velvety OEM sheen is achieved.
The water-based care dye penetrates the uppermost pigment layer and simultaneously seals the fibre. In contrast to professional Leather Colour (Alfa Romeo) repair, neither filler nor sanding or top coat are strictly necessary. For heavily used areas such as seat bolsters or steering wheel, top coat can also be applied, which extends the durability to 1824 months. A 100ml bottle is sufficient for about 23 complete care applications.

The care dye is formulated to penetrate and refresh the intact pigment layer. However, if the layer is worn through or there are cracks, Leather Fresh cannot cover the damaged area the fibre becomes visible there and absorbs the colour unevenly. Suede, velour leather and Alcantara are cared for with Nubuk Fresh (Alfa Romeo), as their rough fibre structure requires a different carrier solution.
If the leather is only faded or dull, Leather Fresh is the fastest and cheapest solution about 45 euros per care application. If, on the other hand, there are deep abrasion marks or cracks, Leather Colour (Alfa Romeo) with filler and top coat is used. Both products are based on the same original Alfa Romeo colour samples and can be combined.
